Build 315 (Refresh Only): Filter and Preview Changes
Only the refresh has been updated (http://www.foxfirereporting.com/livedesign/ff80.zip) - the full install will be updated later this week with some changes in the report layout templates.
Here's a summary of the new features:
When editing filters, OK and Cancel buttons will appear on the same line as the filter being edited. You can still click on another line or a button to save your filter but this way, new users can see the options explicitly.
Added support for removing the matching ( ) when one parentheses is deleted. If you have filters with a lot of parentheses, please try this out and let me know if it's missing anything.
Fixed problem that displayed a message saying "Alias already in use" if an error prevented a report from displaying.
The Report toolbar now shows up on the Mind's Eye preview as well.
Added new GroupFilters collection to deal with aggregate filters.
Update for General Tab to properly validate Request Name as entered by user.
Added drop-down on Request Info tab to allow positioning of comments. This can also be done by going to Output dialog screen.
Added drop-down on Request Info tab to allow positioning of comments. This can also be done by going to Output dialog screen.
Fixed problem with adding new filters when selecting Data Items.
Resized combo in Sort view from Workbench so it displays properly
Fixed Admin tool so it re-opened the files after running an update. Previous versions did not so the user had to exit and come back into Foxfire! after trying to do an update.
We are now disabling Top N button if the request has no sorts in it. You MUST have a sort order to allow Top N. This is explained in the Tooltip when the user mouses over it.
Ensured that the Too Wide dialog shows up on Top of the therm bar.
Changed way live editing of headers are positioned. If a header is right-aligned, the text box will now show up in the right position instead of left justified.
Better error handling when data item validation goes bad.
