Build 340 : Fixed Cross Tab Build and Problems Resolved
The new full install post fixes a problem with running Crosstabs. It also solves a problem that occurred when trying to edit some of the data items in the Live Design Editor (problem was caused by a missing style name).
Both the refresh and full install post have been updated (as of 2:15 PM EST June 14th ).

Cross-Tab Issue Resolved
In the last full install, the FFCONFIG.PRG that was provided had a new definition for lb_xtab. This definition was causing the problem. Remove or comment out the line that says
m.lb_xtab = "X-Tab" and compile it.
They will work properly then.

Known Problems with B338
1. The cross-tab sample errors out with grp_ftrrow not found. A new patch for that should be ready shortly.
2. A new property dialog and revised changes to the fonts dialog are not yet implemented. Will be in build 339.

Using Foxfire! 8.0's Automatic Combo Filters
Foxfire! 6.0 let you define your own filter controls but Foxfire! 8.0 makes it even easier.
In the sample database, Cars Color uses a drop-down while Cars Make is purely free-form text. Here's how to make it use a drop-down like Cars Color.
1. In the Request Manager, click the Dictionary button and go to the Cars Make data item.
2. Click the Filter button.
3. If the checkbox beside "Value must be in Cars" is selected, clear it.
4. Check the box marked Value Must Be In Cars. Notice how the Control Class and Adder Subclass fields fill in. This is now the automatic handler for Combo drop-downs.
5. Click Save and try running a report that uses Cars Make as an ask-at-runtime filter.
The Cars Make filter field is NOW a drop-down!

Warning: Showing comments in preview limited to 255 characters
Just a quick note - the option to display the comments in the header or footer of the report is a great feature but in build 335 and earlier, it doesn't check to see how long the comment is. There is a limit of 255 characters to display this in the preview area. You may get an error if you try to display a larger comment.
This will be fixed in the next post.
